I think a 720 5 spd is a short one, if that helps you find what you are looking for. Datzenmike could confirm which one for sure

But the short only came in 85-86 regular cab short bed 720s. 4x4 and 2WD had different gearings also. And the 2WD 71B has a speedo gear on the tail; 4x4 did not.z chopper wrote:I think a 720 5 spd is a short one, if that helps you find what you are looking for. I did not see this before late tonight, there is an 85/86 copper 720 regular cab/short box at the foster road PNP yard, it has the transmission in it, because I looked, it's about 4 vehicles away from the 521 in row 43, I think it is in row 44.
If your in town this week, I would remove the drain plug if it is there, and stick your finger in there and see what color the oil was before they drained it, if it is yellowish, buy it.
