figured out why it wont idle higher then 450 rpm when cold the carb is missing a few parts such as the fast idle cam linkage



now do i make a rod to connect them or just pull the weber off the 610 and put my 40 on the 610

Yes.

You could fix that carb and have a fuel efficient 620. Buuuut why? Throw a 32/36 on that bad boy. Open her up a bit... That 610 is begging for a 40 series. Save this old carb for a rainy day.

You could probably rape the jets at least from it and use it in the weber to keep some fuel economy.

my biggest hesitation is that i dont have the tuning parts needed for the 40 currently I dont want to just slap it on and leave it on there when it's not tuned but then again its not registered so its not like its going anywhere
