I gave the shop a call...

The bore is complete...

Said he needs to clean it up, hone it and I'll be getting a call for when I can pick it up.

I payed I think about $240 for hot tank, 2 mil overbore, hone, and piston swapping. Course I had less than a week turnaround.

Almost forgot I need to drill holes in the z22 rods....

Thanks DMikes thread!
http://community.ratsun.net/topic/56275 ... z23/page-5

I've got parts!

And the block is now an 89mm z22 block..
Hot tanking over the weekend. He'll hone the thing so he says first thing Monday..
He's working on the rods today...

Things are coming along..

I could just do everything mikes doing... Ka single cam head. Z22, ka-e pistons...

Nahh.. Maybe down the road..

Oh I'm still doing my own thing...

Can't wait to get the block home!

And it looks like I don't really need to drill the holes in the rod.

I've gotta think of a color to paint the block and the value cover.

Yeah there's lots of great part numbers in that thing..

Not sure how many Nissan a still have but we'll see.
Maybe I should post each page, its not a very big book..

Also I dug up my, how to rebuild your Datsun & Nissan OHC Engine..
For some reasons someone put it in the office where there is just a ton! Of old office room stuff. Stacked high.. So it took me a little while to find. I knew I had one just.. Damn didn't think it would take me two days to find.

You know... I'm just glad to have the block back..

I haven't paid the man yet because he still has my pistons.

Ha!! If I could get new Ka-e pistons would never have to pay the man..
I have l20b rods I could use..

I'm not that much of a dick tho..

I spoke words of a discount, he was talking to another person as I picked up the block and said" so I'll be back tomorrow we'll work on a discount for me"... "The amount of work that thing need I'm not sure" that was his response.. To witch I said "also been waiting a while.. He then said " yeah we'll work out a deal"..

I'll let you all know what I end up getting charged..

See the 8 holes on the passenger side of the hg that aren't in the block? Well one is... But drill all of those to 1/4". I center punched while the gasket was on.
