Re: I want a 510 wagon
I don't know much about the 411's but if it's a SSS model, don't the SSS's have the exhaust going through the inner fender ??
And congrats on the 411 purchase, it look's like a good start for a project.

Re: I want a 510 wagon
I'm seriously jealous - what a cool score!
I'm no expert, but I am coming up to speed on these... When they first put the R16 motor and Fairlady disc brakes on the 411 the VIN started with a "R" on RHD or "RL" on LHD sedans and wagons, but the badges simply were 1600. Shortly after production started they switched to the sexier SSS badges. There isn't a difference between early RL411 sedans and wagons versus the later ones with SSS emblems. It's documented that some dealers, back in the day, swapped the 1600 emblems on early RL411's to SSS emblems in order to sell them eaiser - and there isn't anything really wrong with that. My Bluebird came with the 1600 emblems, which I think is cool - it's more of a "sleeper" - LOL
This one looks like it's in great shape

Yes! Its here! Thanks to James who delivered it this morning. And it does have the dual side drafts and plumbed throught the fender......automatic too....its virtually rust free! The boy and I are so stoked!
