gonna swap out the stock bolts for some a little bit longer. These are about 4mm too short.

Yes, just about. Still a few misc things I gotta take care of. I think I spotted the clutch slave leaking.. gotta tighten it up a bit more.. then bleed the brakes.izzo wrote:finally an update. plus.... you can throw it on the ground now!
Then I'll get it on the ground and get the lights and shit working.. toss a temporary seat and take it for it's maiden voyage. Can't wait!!

Bled the brakes again today.. this time with a vacuum bleeder. Still soft as fuck... hmm..
Probably still air in there. Gonna need a lot more bleeding. Power bleeders, fucking want one bad.

Re: The forgotten Beige 69 510 build - NWD edition
Do what I do....
First make sure the MC is bled. Get yourself some 3/16 clear vinyl hose, or whatever size fits over the bleeder. Make a U on one side of a short piece of hose, maybe use a pop can tab?, and place over edge of reservoir, and the other side to the bleeder. Pump away at the pedal. I did this in car for my bench bleeding, and it worked great. keep pumping until you see no bubbles. Switch to the other reservoir, but now you have to keep an eye on the first so it doesnt go empty. Finally just connect a few feet of hose to a rear bleeder, open it up, and pump away (keep reservoir full)keep checking the clear line for bubbles (I like to make a few loops with the hose to trap bubbles, but I dont think its necessary). Then switch sides. There is no need for holding of the brake peddle, just tighten the bleeder before removing the hose. As long as the hose has no bubbles your are fine.
Finally, um, if this is the original MC, and you maxed out the throw on the brake pedal, You may have moved some sediment, and now its not happy. That is what happened to my MC. Went to bleed it, and bam it started leaking.

Thanks for the info. I've bled everything a few times, but good point maybe a bit more air in the MC. I'll bleed that again. This is a new MC.
Stupid tiny reservoirs, gotta keep filling and filling and filling.. lol

when bleeding the masters, take the bleeder hose and return it to the reservoir for continuous refills.

I take it your bleeding by yourself. If so, is the catch bottle below or above the wheel cylinder ?
if it's below, think maybe when you stop to refill the res that bubbles are floating back up into the wheel cylinder.
I always put the bottle above the wheel cylinder (sitting on rag) so when I refill the res, the bubbles float to the top. When you proceed with bleeding, the bubbles come out the first time up push down the pedal.
anyways, just thinking, maybe.

Below, but vacuum bleeder. pulling fluid down but still valid point. Yes, one man bleeding operation.. with very little space to work. lol
I'm gonna bleed to shit out the master again. It's suspect.

Successfully lowered the car about 18 inches...
Tires actually touch the ground now!
I was trying to clear a path to my driveway to take it for a test drive. Garage is much cleaner, but still not quite there.. more cleaning needed. Also, the battery I have is complete shit. Time to buy another.
