1960 Datsun 221 for sale in Vancouver area
I went and looked at this truck today, it has been disassembled for likely 30+ years now, it looked to have most the parts except the engine and transmission, it has been completely pulled apart, here are some photos.
He says all the glass is good.
It is a stock straight axle front end.

The floor is very dirty, but it is there, the tunnel cover is hanging on the wall in the building.

Bumper brackets and shocks.
More parts.
And what looks to be the heater box I need for the U320 without the proper mounting hardware for it.
Likely the stock taillights.
OK, this truck seems to be mostly there except for the engine/transmission and one of the front turn signal lenses, the title is in his dads name and has been since his dad bought it from his brother in the late 60s, his brother bought it new from the dealer, at least that is what I was told.
His dad bought a 1600 to put in it when he blew the original engine up in the early 70s, for some reason he decided to put the 521 rearend under it to, but that is where the conversion stopped, no hacking was done.
He wants a lot of money for this project($2500.00), and if he were to part it out on ebay, he might get that much for the parts over time, the passenger door has a minor crease in it, and so does the box on that side, it actually is in really good condition considering it has been outside for a while now, it turns out that he lived within a block of me when I was a kid, we went to the same schools, he was just 5 years younger than me.

The original rearend is there, everything seems to be there, but the front bumper looks like crap, but it is there.
He bought a lot of 1600 pickup stuff for it, but the project took a turn for the worse as you can see.
If anyone is truly interested, I can forward your name and he will contact you, he contacted me through Ratsun, he is a no post Ratsun member, I almost didn't answer the PM, but it is a 1960 Datsun 221, and he posted his unlisted phone number in the message, so I went to see it.

Cool and rare, for sure. Too bad it would take $40K to make it a $20K truck.

You likely could get $500.00 for the grill alone Tim, all them little parts connected to that cab are worth money, I cannot even guess what someone would pay for them original taillights, even the rubber backing on them was intact as far as I could tell, I was told that the truck lost the engine back in the early 70s, and it has not been driven since, he said it was inside for decades, but somehow in recent years it got put outside, the passenger door and sill were the only really bad rust, the floor boards were not swiss cheese that I could tell, but there was a lot of parts covering them, he said he was going to clean it up though, and he did not want to list it on craigslist.
From what I understood, he read a lot of my builds, and seen that I was local before contacting me, he says I am the only one he has given his address to.
There was a Vespa 400 there, and a few Isetta's there, the kind that the frontend opens up as a door, I did not take photos of them because I was there about a Datsun, and did not want to worry him.
His Dad has medical issues, and he is selling all this stuff for his dad to help with the bills I believe.
There was a lot of one lung farm stuff there also, he had a 82 720 longshaft 5 speed there also, I told him that the PNPs had half off weekends where one can get one for about $50.00/$60.00, so it was not worth that much, but it was worth at least that.
In my opinion the truck is worth more than a NL320 in the same shape, but that is my opinion.

Sorry, I didn't notice, but he did say the mileage was over a 100,000 as I recall, it was only operational for about 12 years, it has been sitting since.

That is a little steep, but still cool.
Then there is this one that's been on CL for a few weeks now ... http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/4498631266.html
That's a 1960 Datsun 221 also! I think he started out asking $1,500 then pulled the ad, only to repost it at $2,500 and now he keeps lowering it. There was another that popped up lately, they're coming out of the woodwork and I don't get it ... does Leno have one or something?
I really dig the hubcaps:
