My old impact I had to torque them. Afterwards still. New impact breaks em right the fuck off.
But learned my lesson, its fixed, got new bolts altogether.
Also got new studs, and bolted my manis on for the last time, and jam nutted everything. I like jam nuts.

Cut my l series linkage.down to fit, and added a cable throttle provision, was realy fiddly, and I thought it out extensively before I welded it up. Tried to leave room for.adjustment in every directions.. turned out pretty good. Didnt take pics. Got my oilpan cleaned.and painted, the inside had gotten.so gummed up that after an hour of scrubbing I painted the inside also, just to avoid the work next time.

When brian and I pulled the oil pan off my L series, we had seen a lot of nasty shit in there too. I dumped some gas in it, and let it burn for a while... then this dry powdering shit just fell out instead of me having to clean it lol

So, any one well versed in the later l16 su crabs?

I would like to know how these tubes function, and how they sould be adjusted, and do the connect like this?
Image
The top one goes to the rocker cover?
Or? Whatever, heres my linkage, cut it inhalf and then pounded a rod into the center, so it was a friction fit before I welded it. The steel rod inside would have probably held it without welds tho, was alittle bigger diameter than the hole in the linkage

Motor guts be clean still, only has around 7k since it was rebuilt, the head I slapped on was alittle fresher than that even.

Hole punch was no where to be found, so I ground the end of a peice if tube down and smashed it thru my gaskets.
Bout to bolt the trans on, bolted the carbs on already, might be a mistake because of brake master clearences, but im thinking I my move the engine ever so slightly to the passenger side, so I can clear my airbox
