So I did end up buying a new aluminum radiator for the 521.

I didn't buy another champion one but an off brand.
It was 160 shipped so I went with it. The rad I picked from the junk yard well its upper hose was fucked! And you could pull it right off the rad. Whatever it lasted long enough to get this new one. So ill take it back and get my 40 dollars back.

I've had a huge headache for the past few days, I think I slept all day yesterday just cuz my body and head didn't feel like doing shit.


I had gotten some core blocks for the z22 block.

see how much smaller the one on the left is. Well I've had this hose on my truck for a long time never had a problem.
When changing my rad I realized that the hose is way short and looks like it will get pushed off.

So this morning I'm driving to get a little more radiator fluid from the store, I'm a the light two blocks away when I hear this noise liiiike metal thinking around.. I'm at a light no one behind me I open my door look under my truck and I see a hose clap on the ground along with antifreeze....

fuck hose was tight! Just way short. Must have not liked the new rrad. Lucky me I was two blocks away. After turning off my truck I pushed her to the parts store...

Please tell me why the hose was 15$! $ wtf same as antifreeze??




Didn't notice it tell now but the clamp broke.
I just got new ones because, glad I did.

Radiator is a close fit. Hard to tell only having two hands.

May need to trim a little of the body to mount the way I want-but I also need the engine in there to properly test fitment. Want to make sure the shroud will go on too.

WAIT! I has no 521 fan shroud. Fuckity! Bring the 620 radiator next time you come too.



We may need to fit this motor sooner than I was planing. Or just wait till the very end to worry about the radiator.

I did something to piss off the Datsun gods.

I parked at the river on my lunch and layer there.
When it comes time to leave I do so, drive up this small hill... well.... All is well.. then I start to here this noise, not sure what it is I pull over to check and make sure everything is fine.... things a far from fine...
