WTB: long rod and jack handle for 510 wagon

#1

Post by BlueJuke »

I recently bought a '69 510 wagon and would like to be able to get to the spare tire if need be. :) Looking for the long rod and handle for that.
Thanks!

I made mine but I assume it's not much like OEM. Lou, can you possibly post a pic of the stocker? Maybe BlueJuke can build one if nothing else turns up. I'm just curious to see what a proper one looks like.

Mine looks like the long rod on the bottom but with a nut welded on the pointy end so I can just use the lug wrench to raise and lower the tire.

Mine looks like the long one, but no nut so I use vise grips.

Maybe get some 3/8ths steel rod, drill a hole in the end, and put some sort of pin through it. Then figure out how to turn it...
