yep, back of the bed will be coming down asap, it should be a super easy fix. tho I'm still trying to figure out what we measured wrong, initially we were worried we measured it too short lol. No you aren't supposed to see that much frame, but 3 things in that picture make it look aweful. 1 the bed is obviously not level, 2 the lighting makes the frame stand out, and 3 the big hole in the front of the bed. (witch might turn into a toolbox =). In normal daylight it doesn't looks alot better. Im super excited to get this thing on the road!! driving it has been a little nerve wracking, but i think most of the little problems have made themselves obvious. So, after a few little fixex, it should be heading down to corvallis with me after Christmas. YAY!

That is the vision. I see a side to side toolbox, built under the bed, where the bedsides tilt up, kind of like the Nissan Titan bed sides have storage.

Dry storage is kinda nice on a truck, especially one with such a small cab.

You also maybe able to scavenge something from the 60s and 70s fords. they had bedside tool boxes. If anything else, maybe just the box and fabricate your own door out of 521 bed side. Shrug. just a thought.

Make it a big-ass drawer that slides out.
