Re: Micro's 73 610
Got some more cool stuff today.. nothing from Thailand, though
With these weapons of mass construction, the fuel line shortage can finally be remedied.
After straightening out the spool of fuel line(which was no easy task, mind you)...
... I spent a good while forming the new line with the old one as a pattern. Here's what came out:
I did, unfortunately, make a boo-boo on one of the bends. Tried to be creative and it ended up biting me back. I hope this doesn't cause too much of a restriction in the line..
What do you guys think? Do I need to make another one?

It's probably fine.

Well, since there are no harnesses available from anywhere in the world for my engine, I'll have to piece the disintegrated, miserable excuse of a harness that the PO included with my engine back together the hard way... thanks dude, you left me with such a fun project..

You got the wiring diagram? If not Nico club has it. And have you gone through all the resources on nicoclub? I have some things to share that may interest you...

Re: Micro's 73 610
Haven't been doing a good job of keeping up to date here.. gonna play some catch up on the project(Copied from another forum):
So.. after a long, unfruitful summer of trying to find a complete replacement for the butchered harness I obtained, I came up empty handed. Well, not technically. I was able to secure one out of Japan, whereupon arrival, ended up being for the wrong engine, rendering it not only completely useless, but non-returnable through the wonderful parts broker Nengun.com(Thanks guys). Life goes on..
On the plus side, a few days ago as I was finally able to afford a new one. I went to Wiring Specialties for a new, reproduction replacement. Days after my order was processed, however, I recieved an email stating that the harness that I had ordered and had been billed for was no longer available. I would be recieving a refund... awesome.
... which brings me to this. Digging out what is left of the harness I do have in my possession, I laid it out and stared at it. And stared. Then the stare became a glare..
Here we go..

Re: Micro's 73 610
Took a break from the wiring to look at some different things. Moving from accelerator linkage to cable is something that is happening, so I mocked up a 240sx pedal in another 610 I have(thus the yellow paint). I was happy to see that it bolts right in.
The top of the pedal doesn't quite line up with the hole in the firewall that the linkage sticks through.. going to have to either modify the pedal or put a hole in the firewall to accept the cable.
