Well I have had issues with the 210 5 times this month.

Starter spun slow. Ok... Go check... Battery cables tight at the battery, look down. Ahh! The cable on the starter somehow backed off. Bought new lock washer, cleaned it all up, threw it on. Good to go! Get a call a week later, uhh.. Had the lights on for ten minutes, car won't start. Tried getting a jump, it won't start... FUUUUCK. Ok.... 1/2 hour drive, get there. Throw the cables on... I smell gas, lol. Two pumps sweet heart, two.. not two every time you try and start it. Just two. Throw the cables on, sit back and have a smoke while keeping the truck at 2200 RPM.... Get in her car, crank it over and over and over... It was having a hard time turning over... Fuck me,,, cables still seemed tight, It's on jumper cables... With an optima in my truck and a solid alternator it should be fine... Get the heap started, ok.... Don't shut it off till you get home...

Every day I hear that thing barely start. WTF. Maybe the battery is just getting old or died to many times... Fuck me. Pull out my multimeter... 12.5V car off... OK... Here's where I fucked up. I threw the multi meter on the alternator and a random screw on the car. It showed 14.5volts. This is when I had to goto her work and jump it. This time when I tested it, it was 13.6. Well ah hell. My thought process is weird sometimes. I thought ok well I know sometimes shit gets corroded and so I added a 12 gauge wire from the + on the alternator to the + on the battery. Waited a few days, starts the same. Christ wtf... Tested the alternator again, 13.6V. Ok, well it isn't charging right. so Imma yank it out and replace it.... Pull the battery, threw it on the trickle charger... Looked down............................. mother fucker. The ground goes from the engine, to the body, then another wire, from the body to the battery. Two complete wires with 4 ends instead of being clamped to the body. That bolt had worked its way out....... SOB lol. Sanded all the connectors, threw in a new lock washer, bolted it together. Car has fire up and ran great since. Starter spins as it should, no more issues... FUCK YES!

two days ago.... (my gf...) Uhhh. I ran something over, i thought it was paper. but I guess not. I heard a loud bang and the car got loud... (Me) fuck really babe? IDC wtf is in the road could you just you know, drive around it? this isn't a truck lol.

Get out, look at the car. Sure as fuck, muffler dragging. Ok... Busted out the welder, some new connectors.. Welded it the best I could but it's rusty as hell and needs replaced... Great, ok. It's rigged up till my muffler guy has time.... The very next day..... She goes outside to goto work, comes right back in... Uhhh, I left my lights on and it's dead..... FUUUUUUCK ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????

As of now, the car is in one piece and all things work. I pray it stays this way for a while. It's been nothing major, just a pain in the dick.

Haha. It's the tits that's causing the problems with the tires :|

Only option is to go back to being single and problem free! Buuuuut. Fuck that. I'll take the problems, the tits, and the tires. At the end of the day, even when it's most stressful. It's good :D

Well...

This is gonna get around sooner or later. Some people have said "Oh everyone has one of those" or they call them a five point slow.

IDGAF. I've always wanted one, and now that chance is mine and I'm taking it. My buddy has one sitting in his garage. We did some trading. All stock jewel green mustang foxbody 5.0 5 speed. Mint interior. Claims the motor was "tired" and pulled it out. The plan is to have it here within 2 weeks. Gonna pop the heads off the motor and check to see what's going on with the cylinders. I wish the motor was still in it, then I could make the call for myself. I probably would have driven it as is. But, i guess since its out...

Pop the heads, check the cylinders. If they seem ok (not much of a ridge..) then I will have to make a call on what to do. hone it, new rings and bearings? Have it bored over and new pistons rings and bearings, find another motor... I will replace the clutch, water pump, belts and all that bull shit while the motor is out either way.

This is the closest stock mustang in this color I could find. It looked just as good when I saw it in person. Needs a bath is all. Looked OK other than that. Interior is clean clean!

EDIT

Hell maybe I should just shove the motor back in it and fire it up, take it for a drive and see how it does. Probably the easiest thing to do at this point.

If there's not much to it... Pop it back in. Otherwise borrow leakdown tester and test. No need to pull it a part.

My uncles convertible foxbody was making 600 to the wheels. It was fast.

Not my favorite car, and everyone has whored them out. But parts are everywhere and cheap. Makes you wonder why you picked Datsuns...

That should be a fun car. They've really grown on me over the years. Still don't love all the cladding on the GTs but a clean LX notch would be welcome in my garage. Congrats!

I had a Mustangll, but mine had a 4 cylinder, I put over a 100,000 miles on it, it was actually a good car for what it was, but not a Datsun.

I love the fox body 5.0 5 speed.

drove a friends mid 80's black & white ( X cop car) back from California while he drove his 72 Mustang convert 351 H.O. auto that he purchased off Ebay. I would let him get about 2 to 3 miles ahead of me and then see how long it took to catch up to him. The 5.0 Tang was fun and fast.

GL hope the Tang works out for you izzo.

Well. I went and looked over the mustang real well. It was originally blue. it's been repainted. He has ran into something, and the fenders need replaced. The front looked OK. the passenger door trim fell off and you can see the blue on the door :( The front bumper needs replaced. The motor was locked up, it's toast toast.... The floors are crusty like it had leaked in there and the carpet got all hard and nasty. it'll need replaced.

I think i am going to pass on this deal. If it was as clean as he made it out to be, I'd be all over it. But it's only a 1500 dollar mustang running. The motor isn't the original either, it's out of a lincoln town car.

I have been presented with another offer. This kid wants to trade me this honda for my blaster. It runs and drives great, all original cept the hood was replaced. 5 speed, Runs and drives great, however the 4'th gear pops out in the trans. So it will need a trans at some point. Straight trade for the blaster.

I am contemplating it. The black 620 in my garage should be gone tomorrow. I love to ride, but being able to get out and ride is such a pain in the ass. I have to find a sitter for my girl friends kids just to go. So basically I don't have a life and it's just to much of a pain to go out and ride. Then half the time they want to goto the beach (which is fun, but I like riding in the woods).

So, I think I will trade the blaster for this 1981 honda accord hatchback.

That Mustang sounds like a total fucking pile. Thanks for getting my hopes up. :x

I always liked those Accords though. Not sure how easy another transmission will be to find. First gen Accords are getting pretty rare, just not too valuable. And make sure it runs right. Carb parts are almost impossible to find for them (or at least they used to be) and the floats have a tendency to sink.

Well that sucks!

Like Jess said early accords are pretty cool.
Parts sourcing might be pits.
A friend of mine used to have a few back in the day

Yeah I haven't seen to many. It would be a fun car. I see decent parts do buy off rock auto. the usual stuff anyways. Brakes, gaskets etc. If it shows up. I am removing the carb and all the emissions, weber baby!
