720 got some fresh oil and filter today. Need to do the front / rear diff and transfer case as well as transmission. Fluids are not cheap. Probably do the rear end and trans first, since they get used the most.

Integra is due for an oil change, oil is black :| So was the truck, so is the 210. hbahaha.

Oh and this.

Came wkth the hub.

Also!!

Truck is going matte black. Trading some work for shooting.

Just get a new one. By the time you get to Salem, then install it just to find out it sucks(it's leaking, plugged, whatever), you're already in over the $70 more it would have cost for the new one. PLUS, you'll probably get some kind of warranty with the new one(in case something happens). You don't get that with used..

Will your boss let you order parts through the shop? I put a radiator in my wife's car last weekend -- $80 with a lifetime warranty.

Yeah, gonna buy new for sure.

Holy shit!!! I caught something nasty last week. I haven't been this burned out in a long time. Entire body is sore, pains, shooting pains, coughing nasty shit up and sucking it outta my nose. By the time I get home I just kick my shoes off and set back. I had to give the car/truck a tune up. Plugs, cap, rotor, oil change, filter, gas filter. Shits are running top. Pleased with the 720. Plugs came out like a graham cracka! Golden brown bitches. Right on the money. integra slightly darker then I'd like. Will see what they look like in a week. Threw some higher end plugs in. They were a dollar more a piece. NGK of course.

I cannot explain the level of hurt I feel right now. This cold or whatever is beating my ass! Woke up 3am completely soaked even with the window open and it being about 30 degrees in my room. Feel it coming on again tonight. Had to get up and shower. SLept 12 hours last night and about to do it again. Refuse to call into work. Need that paper.

Talked to the boss today. Straight up told me he appreciates me. there's 5 oil guys, and sometimes I get pulled to the mechanics side. He said I'm right where I need to be. I keep up with the 2 good guys and run circles around the two dipshits and get work DONE. even when sick. He said he's very impressed and glad he hired me. That. Felt. Good. I understand his grumpyness. His names been ran thru the mud cuz of previous employees not giving two fucks along with two we have now. A car today was on the lift and the dude doing the bottom side was standing there eating (not on lunch) instead of doing his job. So i took it over and finished it. Boss said he likes the fact I jump in and get stuff done and leave their heads spinning  It's not my place to tell anyone what to do, but I do jump their ass and tell em LETS GO.... Plenty of time to fuck around when no cars around.

haha thanks!

Tater, thanks for the info on the teggy. I found out there is a small panel right by the back seat. pop that off and there is an allen head in there, spin that bitch and it will retract or make the seat belt go forward. I unplugged the seat belt box, wound it back. Done deal!

Last night was no better than the night before. 5x worse I'd say. Soaked, again. Woke up around 7 times drenched. Chugged as much water as I could. Pissing apple juice colored piss thick as syrup. This shit needs to get over on the double.

You're welcome, anytime. I think I misunderstood about you needing to retract the belt. I didn't know where the retractable thing for the automatic shoulder belts were. Luckily mine is stuck where it needs to be so all I have to do is reach around and clip it.

Regardless, I'm glad you got it figured out.

I hope you kick that shit soon. Sounds like it sucks donkey dicks.

I know, I know, I said reach around.

So i tuned up the integra.

New cap/rotor/plugs/fuel filter. No star. WTF! Cleaned contacts on coil since its in the dizzy and i had to remove it to get to the rotor screw. Ok... They were rusty, so cleaned them up off I go. Car started randomly dying. WTF?? I hadn't done the fuel filter, so thought maybe its old as shit, so thats when I replaced it. I did the blow thru test.. A bit of resistance, new filter... Easy and air went right thru. Took it on a hard test drive.. Like 6500RPM shifts. Got her up to a buck twenty on the back roads. Not a glitch... Sweet! GF takes it to work, dies twice on her :| Fires right back up both times and off she goes. Died once on her way back. So it's been parked. Had a chance to look at it today. Pulled the coil, inspected it. Looks a little corroded in the coil, and it looks like their maybe a crack? But hard to tell. Almost looks like where it was formed. but probably a crack.. So I cleaned all the contacts again, threw it together. Fired it up. Idled a minute. OK.... Buddy shows up, i talked to him a bit then told him what was going on with the car. he said oh let me hear it. Fired it up, it missed a few times, and died... lol. Started it back up, idle was sporadic and jumpy and then died a few times. I'm leaning towards the coil, but I know the ingiters in these have problems too. Time to run some free tests. Going to pull a plug and crank it and see what goes on if the spark is constant or not, if not I will then pull the cap and test the coil at the positive and negative. If it's not good there, then I believe it will be the igniter. It's dry inside the dizzy so no oil is leaking in there nor condensation. I didn't feel any play in it. I am on the lookout for a complete distributor tho. I would like to just replace the unit, tho knowing what it is before just replacing stuff is the right thing to do. The cost of a coil, or an igniter isn't far off from a whole distributor. So replacing one piece could solve the issue, but why not swap in something with a lot less wear and tear on it.

I thought so too mang, but I took it out. I couldn't see any broken contacts/solders tho (it also looked newer like someone had replaced it within the last few years, vs a stock one from 91. it was pretty clean and it wasn't bolted down anymore under the dash). I will double check, but the way it runs after dicking with the dizzy vs 5 minutes before is leading me to the dizzy being the issue, mainly the coil/igniter.

Did do some research and heard thats a very common problem with the PGM-FI relay/board going tits up.

You're probably right. If I'd read your post more carefully I probably would have noticed that it all started after the tune-up. The PGM-FI relay problems usually are more heat related.

That is the relay I changed on mine. The one I sent you a pic of. The soldering on mine looked fine but… If yours looks like it's been changed it's probably not the problem.

The coil isn't cracked. Mine looks that too. And it is cracked at the screw & still runs like it should.

I cleaned the contacts again, and thats when it ran even worse. Dude also plugged in a plug under the hood before test firing. It may have been unplugged for a reason. I need to go out and unplug it and run the car again and see.

I should take a look at the PFM-FI one more time just to be safe really, as I just quickish looked at it. I need to look look for any brakes in the solders more / better than I did.

Ill try and take any pics I can. A non constant problem is problematic to diagnose :) hahaha.

Mofo, just stay broke so i can track you down! lolol... JK plz dont stay brokenz :|

Go out, fire it up. random RPM die.... Fire it up, ran smooth and perfect. WTF? kick the throttle a few times, idles funny dies, runs fine can't get it to do it again... warms up, kick the heat on lights... it dies... fire it up, runs fine... wtf.....

Then it just kept dying over and over. Random thought. The rear defrost light came on. it's never worked. I fear wiring issues. But, I have the bottom of the dash off. I grabbed every thing of wires I could find and gave them a decent push pull up down method. Nothing, not a flicker. Same with under the hood shit. notta..

It all started after touching the dizzy for the tune up. Making me think it's gotta be something in there. I can hear the fuel pump for a second or two after it dies so I know shes getting gas. Just dunno how much (no pressure gauge)

I'm not saying the relay is it and I am by no means a mechanic but I couldn't find any broken solder in my old one when I looked at it but that was what it was. Just by what you're describing it sounds electrical.

Side note: only about 5 lines in the rear defroster work on mine. Told the wife that I need to do cv axles in the future. she says "do you wanna put that much money in an $800 car?" I said "well I've seen one come loose in a car that was rolling. It stuck in the pavement and picked the front of the car up off the ground". She says "maybe it's time to sell it ".

The whole time I'm thinking, just wait till I start building my 510

well hell. Maybe it is. I'm going to throw my dollars at a distributor and see if that cures it, if not I'll return it and swoop on a PGM-FI and see. I did see what looked like a little crack, but can't really tell. It almost looked like it was just the hole for where the pin went thru.

The bottom of the dizzy on the outside is a little oily. but the inside is dry. Again, all started when I touched it for the tune up. Who knows, maybe it's just the shitty ass autozone duralast cap n rotor. I should throw the old shit back on and see what happens.
