All I need help finding a 5 speed swap for my Z. I am looking for a wrecked... totalled.. blown up Z. 90-96. Twin turbo preferred, but an N/A can work.

Transmission must shift good. If you know of anyone that has one sitting around, I'm interested. Would never pay more than $1000 for a wrecked non runner.

Thanks for your help.

Are you looking for just the tranny? There is a Z shop here that specializes in that gen Z. I can ask them for you but I don't know if you would want to ship one from here to there. Also, if you just want his number to talk to him directly let me know.

Aren't those trannies kinda rare? Why not a Z33 tranny, supposedly even stronger.

I need the a lot of parts for the swap. The transmissions aren't that rare. Z33 are 6 speeds but same or slightly lower OD. Strength is not really an issue. I'd take the Z32 NA tranny. It's the same internals at the TT.. but the bell housing is different. It can still work, but I am trying to keep my Z stock. All stock TT parts.

To do an OEM swap, I need over 20 different parts.

My research also shows the Z33 being weaker, bearings are a failure point although some other hard parts internally are bigger.

The 5 speed used in the Z32 has a longer ratio final gear at .752, compared to the 350z's .794.
