There is a bit more rot to the right of this patch. I'm going to try to just weld it up I didn't want to cut into the lip of the wheel well. The metal is thin.. so it'll be a good challenge.

I picked up 5 bottles after seeing it used on your engine. Good stuff.

Lol told ya! It's cheap and works pretty good. I use it to clean all my bikes and engine parts.

Spent about 3 hours on this... got it to this point. The metal is so fucking thin after grinding it down I'd have holes again. I started to get frustrated and quit.
I had air to cool the panel.. but I think my grinder warped the panel. Even while grinding with air on the panel. It's not too bad.. but disappointed.

I was afraid you was going to run into them pin holes. Maybe it's time for all-metal bondo.
Wonder how many are hiding under the paint ?
To keep your metal from warping, a bag of ice will work better then a fan cause it will cool it down faster and ( maybe ) cause some metal shrinkage. That would be my guess since I'm not a body guy. < disclaimer

I was using the air compressor with an air nozzle to cool the panel. During welding that was fine.. but the grinding creates a ton of heat too.. and that's probably what did it. Overall, it's not bad though.
Hard to say how many other wholes there are. I don't think that many.. but there probably are a few more. I'm not sure where the moisture comes in on these trunk drops.. maybe the trunk?
I am hoping after grinding this shit down I'll be good to apply filler.
