710 only parts

#1

Post by devilsbullet »

So I know that 710s had some model specific parts(like the damned radiator) that can be difficult to find. I was wondering what else was specific to them so I can work on getting spares(or firsts if I don't already have them). 77 goon specifically, but figured having an actual list for all of them would be good since I can't find shit off Google about it.

Not much isn't 710 only, asside from a few 610 front half parts... hell, even some 710 parts don't interchange (like the turn signal and side marker wiring connectors from a 74 don't fit a 75)

... the only non-710 parts I have on my 710's are adjustable 510 T/C rods and camber plates, with 280zx front struts/brakes

I'm going to try to run a 610 oil pan on my 710 coupe .. It looks like the 610 engine and trans. cross-members are very similar (if not the same). I have a Mad-dat front sump sway bar, for a 610, on my KA710 wagon, and the 610/710 T/C rod brackets look the same. The steering boxes look similar too. I'm not sure about 610 front brakes, but I know the 74-75 710's had different front calipers than the later 76-77 710's.

The 710 wagon axle has the E-brake bracket welded on the driver's side of the axle, while the 710 coupe's axle has it welded on the passenger side (sedans probably do too). And the wagon U-bolts are thicker/longer/ and wider diameter to fit over these axle sleeves:

Well I guess I may as well ask if anyone needs any 710 goon parts. I'm taking a break from pulling my parts car apart. Dunno how far I'll get before the weather turns on me, or with my limited selection of tools(I fucking hate theifs Btw...) but I'm gonna try and pull off everything that doesn't allow it to roll. Not a fan of shipping mainly because I have no way of taking payment outside of checks/money orders and not wanting people to think I'm sketchy by asking for payment that way prior to shipping, but if you're local or willing to make a trip I'll try and pull it for you.
