"Lien" paperwork is not good, anything involving the word lien is worth staying away from, the lien could be way more than the vehicle is worth.
I am surprised it is not being sold to satisfy the lien, I bet that SPEEDS is not happy about having to disclose that it has a lien, they likely will be stuck with it.

"Lien" just means the tow company has filed paperwork against the towing and storage fees. They will issue you papperwork that you take to the DMV and are issued the new title. No big deal at all. I've bought probably a dozen cars from tow auctions that way. The cars that are listed "title" are either an owner-surrender or a consignment sale.
