S13 Rear for now. Hopefully gonna convert the 280ZX struts to S13 fronts to have them on all corners. Plus brands available for the S13 are practically all of them. Way better than the very limited 280zx or other early Nissan stuff.

The one above was eventually cut out.
Anyways, I made a second. That belt sander I got is awesome! Also, the first one, and then the cutting on the second one was all done with my quite used Harbor Freight angle grinder.

Nicely done.

Re: Jacob's goon build
Bracket got half welded in. Everything lined up great. Kind of difficult to weld. Definitely prepared by heating up things with the propane torch.
Then today I figured out the ebrake (Literally cut and weld). Ebrake is tested and working.

Wow that's nice! Could that be adapted to a sedan? I like rear disks but I want the E brake too.

Re: Jacob's goon build
Honestly, I have never been under the rear of a sedan... I dont know how they work...
These calipers are originally cable operated for the ebrake, I just removed the bracket that holds the cable (the big hole on the caliper you see is the bolt hole)
But I think sedans are easier for brakes. I think they have a fully machined wheel bearing flange (like the trucks...) so you can easily do a bolt on from the rear.

Re: Jacob's goon build
Well I started on the passenger side, and then some. went much faster today. Ordered another rotor, and remaining hardware to complete both rear brakes.
Still need to do driver's side ebrake, and then hydraulic on the axle.

Re: Jacob's goon build
Its entirely possible that I could be 100% done with the brakes/axle on Friday.
The final piece of brake hardware will be here Wednesday. I have the soft lines, rotors, ebrake is functional. Purchased a flare tool because Brake lines and well fuel lines down the road. Ill pick up fittings and hardline at the store here soon.

Re: Jacob's goon build
So actually the axle was finished Friday with the exception of the driver' side ebrake, and well axle retaining plates... Gonna have to work on those...
And I guess I only took two photos, of my brake flare tool (which is the best manual flare tool there is), and the 3rd ever brake flare I did.
And I am using Copper Nickle Iron brake lines. DOT approved, and way easier to bend and flare than steel.

Re: Jacob's goon build
Good looking flare. Curious who makes that tool, I have only seen that style tool available in 37°.
My next flare tool kit will be a hydraulic kit that also does fuel quick connects.

I was admiring that too. The no-twist notches are clever.
