Thanks guys, thinking about changing the wheels cause I can't find any 14" tires. I have a set of the Nismo 16" wheels new in the box that I might use, but I sure like the D slot looks. From my research the Nismo's need spacers, but 16" tires are readily available.

Thanks 510 freak. Had to look van isle up. That's in Victoria?

I've seen about 8 come and go in the past 5 years on CL Seattle. Most were like you say, really rusty, and or, botched together.

Welcome Datsunwizzard. That's one clean truck there!!! Looks like the original Datsun blue on top and love the graphics.

I'd keep the wheels that are on it. Same rims I had on my black 73 back in the day. Googled 14" tires and your right. There is not much out there anymore. BF Goodrich makes a 225/60R14. What size do you need?

Hopefully you can source some 14s, The d-slots look really sharp.

I have 215/60R14 on there now, I could go up to the 225/60R14. The ratings on the tire that you mentioned are not that great, plus they have raised white lettering that i could turn around I guess. From my research the BF Goodrichs are made as a replacement for the muscle cars.
I had the truck repainted back in 1984 by the head painter for Harrahs Auto Museum and yes the blue is the factory color.

I have the BFG T/As on my Cutlass. Their fine. Nice quiet ride and decent traction. I wouldn't consider them a performance design by today's standards but certainly adequate for most Darsuns.

That would make for some "interesting driving" - I'm guessing the rear just "slips" a bit here and there, to keep up with the front?
