I didn't realize this was your thread, but I've already read through that one!
I didn't do a whole lot to mine, just a hanger redrill, blocks, and torsion bars..
I thought about doing those slider shackles awhile ago but couldn't find much info on it, how does it ride like that?

Done a few small things the last few weeks..



My friends found me the dome light I was missing on their last trip to pick n pull and grabbed it for me.


Took it into work and learned how to do alignments, it was way off

It looks better than the roll of duct-tape I use, on the floor of my truck! Plus your cup holder matches your shifter nicely.

I'm gonna drain the cup holder with the same stain as my shifter, which should all go really well with the fake wood grain on the dash, but thanks man!

Did drop spindles, ball joints, and tie rods today, and found I have a stuck caliper so I'll be doing brakes this weekend.

It's pretty low, almost too low, the front end scrapes everywhere, but it should level out and not be as bad when I lower the back, I might have to raise the front just a little bit though.

I raised mine just enough so it doesn't scrape going in my driveway, and that made it not hit going over the speed bumps on my road moving at a fairly good rate also, so if someone is in back of me it doesn't aggravate them because I don't crawl over them.
Parking lot speed bumps are different, I have to have a plan when I go in them places, I avoid them all together if I can, as I drag my frame just in back of the front wheels on them.

Got my front brakes all done, pads calipers, and rotors, only costed me $120 thanks to a sweet discount because of where I work!
Also fixed my power steering leak, replaced the pressure Hose and now I can proudly say I finally have a truck that doesn't leak any fluid, that's a first for me!

You get a +1 for the repair but a -1 for the parts source. Net points awarded = 0.
We replace a lot of leaky LS calipers where I work. Refinish quite a few rotors too. The number 1 complaint is "suspension noise" that turns out to be sloppy caliper slides and pad rattle. LS brake parts are cheap junk.

Truck looks great. All that woodgrain is awesome. Dead on stance too. Bet it drives waaay better with a proper alignment.

One of the shops we but a lot of parts from gives us a really good discount on parts for our personal vehicles, my parts were $240 before my discount.

Several years ago I went thru several brands from all the parts houses, all were rebuilt, none worked, I pulled apart the last Raybestos brake master to see what the issue was, it was put together wrong, one of the rubber cups was in backwards, I took it back and got my money back, that was the second or third master I had tried from that store, they were very unhappy.
So I ended up at Tonys Auto Parts, they set me up with a Centric dual master cylinder for a 1979 Datsun 620, they told me these were new and not rebuilt, but they were made in Taiwan, I tried it anyway as I was batting zero so far, the thing worked great, at that time they were the only store selling Centric, now everyone sells that brand, it's all I buy now.
I used to have several brand new ones in tucked away, even after sitting 2/3 years on the shelf, they work great every time.

Centric's performance brand is StopTech. I cant think of any of the other brands actually having a performance division (well maybe Raybestos...)

Ill use Centric above just about anything.

I have Centric rebuilds on the back of my moms SUV, so far they have more miles than the OEM Dodge calipers...

A lot of the brakes we do at work are centric.
