After modding it, it works great. It could use better lighting.. which I'll install some day. And I need to get a better dust collector.

An oil pan is about the biggest thing I could reasonably blast. Could go bigger but it's pretty cramped in there with the hoses. Either way, I'm happy with the results and the cabinet is dirt cheap.

After I bead blasted the oil pan there was media in the pan.. event though I covered it some sand was still in there. I scrubbed and scrubbed... still dirty. So mixed some degreaser and water and heated it up. Then let is sit in the pan to work loose the grease and grime... and sand. Well... it started to strip the paint.

What a pain in the ass. It was all over in the pan... so naturally it ALL had to go. I had to do this about 3 more times to remove all the paint so it would not contaminate the oil later on...

Small update.. cleaned all the bolts and mounted the pan. I sand blasted a few bits.. not pictured. Will be mounted soon.

I put a bunch of work into this front cover and found a stripped oil pan hole. I got it for free so no complaints. Looks like I gotta buy a helicoil kit and get busy. It would probably be fine without it.. but I don't want oil leaking anywhere on this thing.

Can't you just use a longer 10mm bolt, they usually are not stripped the hole length of the hole.

Well it's a lot easier to drill it, and thread it for the helicoil when it's on a engine stand.
It's even easier when you have someone else do it, but that is not as cheap.

The good news is, it's just a M6x1 bolt. I'll trust a helicoil in this application. Time-sert was about double the price.. I figured that was a little overkill for the application.

Bad news is, the pan is sealed.. so I hope I can drill the pan hole just a little bigger and get the coil installed. Otherwise... fucking pan had to come off. We'll see when I get the kit.
