And...in the on-going saga that is my brakes...I think they're dialed.

Took a long drive tonight with no signs of brake drag!!!

Send me your switch and I can probably rebuild it.

Had to rebuild a 240z switch once.

You don't have 4 wheel drums, timmay.

They've actually been feeling great ever since I got them dialed in.
Budgeting still for a disc conversion though...and all the crap that keeps breaking since I'm driving it daily now.

So, this happened...

Image

Hit a huge bump on the way home the other night, killed all my lights. I'm guessing by the damage other accessories were not working either.
Drove it home...so just enough fuses were still hooked up. Lol.

Image

Purchased this box from Blue Sea Equipment. Many members recommended this box. DanielC has installed this in a few different 521s.

Box did not come with enough jumpers to supply power to the hot fuses...so I made my own.

Image

Mounting points for this box are different than the original. You can see in the pic, upper right and lower left, I installed thread-serts to ease in mounting.

Image

And this is where I sit now.

This is how the box was set up prior to removal.

I know those fuse ratings are not correct. And I'm having a horrible time finding the correct ratings. Ugh.

As soon as I know what fuses to install I will do so and test everything out.

Not thinking so. The diagram I have from the Nissan FSM says from drivers side to pass. side... 15A, 15A, 15A, 10A, 15A, 10A. Don't think that is right either.

Still searching.

I just meant the labeling in the cover.
Light 30A
Horn 20A
Clock 20A
Reverse 20A
Flasher 10A
Washer 10A
Looks like it's kind of generic though.

Found another listing for a NOS 521 fuse cover. It lists;
Flasher, Reverse, Meter 10A
Wiper, Washer, Heater 15A
Tail, Licence(sp) 10A
Cigaret(sp), Room, Radio 15A
Head lamp 15A
Horn, Stop, Hazard 15A

Better, maybe?

That second one you listed is what I have found and will use.

If I start popping fuses, diagnosis will ensue.

Getting there.

Well...we're running. Everything works as shitty as it had before.

Removed radiator to flush it out and give a soak in CLR.
Replacing water pump. Kinda of troubleshooting with that one.

Found my alternator bolt broke, again.
Gonna have to go to Lowe's tomorrow for that headache. Maybe take the alternator and mount to work for a bit of customization.

I don't want to look thru all your thread to find when your alternator bolt was broke before, but I had this issue, my front bolt kept getting broke off and it was because the engine kept shifting sideways under high torque and hitting the idler arm, it happened because I had put an internally regulated alt. on the truck, and it had to be tilted farther out towards the side to clear the radiator hose above it.
In the end I had to make another alternator bracket that mounted the alt. lower so I could have it tilted closer to the engine to get it away from that idler arm.
My work truck engine is put thru hell everyday, sometimes I have over a ton of wet debris in the flatbed, and I am always hauling that trailer around, so the engine shifts around a lot, slamming gears and dropping the clutch will do the same thing.
Here is my home made alt. bracket, I had to make another one that would use all three bolts because the front bolt broke off in the block, that was the first time one broke off in the block, it likely happened because I tightened it down to tight, but it was a two bolt mount at the time, one of these days I will remove the engine and get that bolt out along with some other stuff.

Mine sheard itself off because the bolt was thinner than the hole.

I'm nowhere near the idler.

I only say again because of what I found from previous owner.
This is my first broken bolt since changing to IR alt.
