Re: Still Pretty Original 510 Wagon
It took a little hard work and scabrication, but I made a few center console bits work. Still gotta find a good shift boot and tighten up the shifter somehow.
And blew most of the dust out of the cluster. Tried fixing the speedo too but the worm gear is crooked so I'm just gonna keep my eye out for a new speedo mechanism.
These seat covers looked like they'd been on the shelf for a few decades, but I think they came back in style recently.

Thanks dudes. Having a lot of fun with it right now.
May pull the engine this weekend to figure out the clutch problem/change the clutch, regasket, clean it all up and hopefully throw that weber on. I'm hoping it's just the throwout bearing. When it's not acting up it feels like a pretty fresh clutch, but it whines when I put pressure on and starts shuddering real bad sometimes.

Carb's on and running just fine. I've driven it over 350 miles with the weber so far and it's been smooth all the way.

Yeah got it down what I thought was 2 inches in the front, but put 2 inch blocks on the back since this photo and the back is about an inch lower than the front now so I've gotta bring the front down another inch and a half or so to sit right.Ni10 wrote:levigideon wrote:Carb's on and running just fine. Re: Still Pretty Original 510 Wagon
Thanks guys, it's getting to be a fun car. Here's some more jelly is anyone needs it.
Yeah, I'm gonna trade wheels with the 210 before I drop the front more. I think the offset on these will allow a bit more room to move the perch so hopefully I won't have to cut much off the springs. They're 13's as well.

Re: Still Pretty Original 510 Wagon
Woke up with some motivation this morning and got right to work gettign everything ready for the new windshield. Zach came up with a last minute headliner and it came out really nice. We didn't get enough insulation in so I may have to figure out a way to go back and put some foam in. Probably just from the edge somewhere. Windshield was easy. Just had to find windows of dry weather.
There's a little leak in the passenger top corner. Anyone got a jank-free solution?
