What temp thermostat did you use?

In my L19 I ran a 195 degree, no bypass on the thermostat housing (It looks ugly), and a 3 row radiator (someone re-cored my stock one).

Even in over 100 degree weather playing in mountain hills, my car never over heated. Gauge stayed dead center except in extreme cases.

Do double check your temps with not the factory gauge. Do check your thermostat on the stove. I dont like installing thermostats without testing them.

Did you make sure to bleed the system? How about the rad cap? is it holding pressure? Maybe the waterpump is cavitating...

I'll bring home a non-contact thermometer tomorrow
my temp gauge on my 521 never reads correct so yeah, don't trust the stock gauge. Do what Haniz (sp) says, install after market gauges to be safe.

so when will we know what the exact temp reading is today ? :yuno:

Don't worry about Kim, he likes to push other people on their projects so he can spend his day drooling over the pics instead of doing his own projects.

Anyways...multiple test drives, every drive seems to be the same.

Gauge says hot. Laser thermometer says less than 200° coming out of head.

I have a new temp sensor showing tonight. Installing that while listening to the Trailblazer game.

At this point-im just going to rock this bitch till the wheels fall off.
I've been wanting to do a motor swap for a while. What better reason than needing a motor to do the swap.

Wifey had been informed that I'm going for broke. :fyea:

Man, every brake drum pic you post makes me feel bad. Much cleaner than I usually settle for.

Won't make Canby. Can't get the time off.
I may go Sunday to see people. That's about all I can do.

Blue Lake with a fresh motor and 5 speed is my goal.

Daily report:

Made it to car show, 30 miles.

That dark gray 510 with the body kit is here parked in front of me.

I gave him a Ratsun card without letting him speak.
"Dude, come check us out." Lol.

So, that 510, my 521, and a 1979 210.

I'll get pics for later.
