Was thinking about driving this out to Woodburn for the Napa Drags tomorrow. Got cancelled due to rain. Oh well.

Starting to hear some bearing noise in the RR. Guess I'd better order up some axle bearings and collars. Napa Drags got rescheduled to Aug 26. Not sure if I'll take this out there or maybe the El Camino.

So here's the current standing; El Camino is pretty much done, Cutlass gone to Idaho, Bastard bike done enough, Reaper '35 on indefinite hold, Goldwing fine for now. That basically just leaves the 510. I'm thinking maybe I'll throw a few hundred (hopefully not thousand) in that general direction. I'd like to get a set of tires for the stock wheels, clean up and detail the engine bay, change up the mirrors, do a carpet kit, possibly pick up another engine to do the "secret cam" swap to, possibly finish the Maxima brakes/struts/coilovers.

Keep an eye out for a sale ad next spring.

It's a combination of 2 OE cams that can be run in the Twincam that require no ECM tuning but are good for 10 dyno-verified horsepower. I have one but need to look for the other. Shouldn't be too tough to find.
Not sure how it got the "secret cam" designation.

Pretty much. The Quad4/Twincam family came in several versions from 120-190hp. With the secret cams my current combo should be right about 180hp. Not a lot by tuner boy standards but still about twice what the car started out with. It's fast enough already.

Pretty decent for NA power really. My CA on stock boost (7lb) should only be 170ish hp.

Forgot to update. New bearings and seals installed along with a much needed gear oil replacement. Quieter and smoother than I can ever remember.
