Dude, do you have any idea how cold it is out there right now?

Badass status, awarded. I sold my shop furnace a month ago and haven't been out there a total of 30 minutes since.

I replaced an Oring on the BMW the other day, that took like 15 minutes. And I was done. Even my garage is frigid.

Re: The "Retired" 510
When I went inside after being in the cold all day, I went straight for a bag of Tim's salt and vinegar chips. As soon as the chip made contact with my lips, game over. I swear I felt every crack form on my lips. If I'd just used chapstick, I might not be suffering.
Was going to drop the KA in today (after flipping x-member), but I had to give the 620 motor mounts back to 620 to get the L motor in it yesterday. We tried 510 rubber with 510 brackets, 510 rubber with 620 brackets, Finally had to settle on 620 brackets and 620 rubber.
I'm way more anxious about this swap than my posts reveal.

Re: The "Retired" 510
If the temp goes over 25 today, I'll handle my crossmember. Does anyone know of a thread where someone removed the LCA pins and flipped them around? I can only find threads where it was talked about...

Re: The "Retired" 510
Thanks! You all have helped a ton in getting some of this figure out. Really appreciate all of it.
I'm getting ready to see what I can do with the two of these engine harnesses here. Two different years though, so some differences here and there and other little differences. The one further away is in much better shape, but still some stuff cut off and it doesn't match up with the one that was in the car.

Wiring was never my fav thing either. Tho i don't mind it when it's all sitting in front of me. I can see any issues. It's a pain tracking shit in the car.

Re: The "Retired" 510
Well I pretty much know the 510 wiring in/out now. Even unwrapped lots of it to make sure all the splices are doing well. Found almost three feet of ground wire that was corroded. I kept cutting the wire back to get to where it wasn't corroded, finally I pulled the whole wire out and replaced it with the same gauge wire but I added a second. Can never have too much ground! If anyone is in need of a 510 engine harness, let me know. I'll have a spare that's in great shape here soon, just using it as a reference for now...
Futofab is still out of sway bars, I even tried to order one from T3 but they are out too. Makes sense since Futo supplies bars to T3! Haha, oh man. Is that Orageline sway bar my only option? Futo has no idea when they will have more, but they are expecting them. Not really a pressing issue, but I would like to have all the parts ready. Especially since I have the money right now, it's burning a hole in my pocket!

Re: The "Retired" 510
I would go with the FutoFab. Their site says this month... but who knows, sounds like you are in contact with them.
DAPSupply is showing one, but more money. And I have never heard of them... I heard McKinney makes them in batches... might call them.
You could buy some time, run some cheapo 4-500lb front springs (the cheap ebay honda springs tend to be about 550lb). This much spring would make it so you dont need a sway bar. I know of 1 autoX guy who does this. But of course that is temporary.
