No, it stinks like regular gear oil. Probably from the additives. Has the consistency of 5W20 though. It's good stuff but a bit pricey. I've been thinking about experimenting with it in my wagon. The old A833 in my El Camino loves it and we always use it in later S10s that come through the shop with NV3500 in them. Quieter than ATF and shift smoother than 80W90.
When the only tool you have is a hammer every problem starts to look like a hippy.

I've been doing research much as I can to try and make it last. I figure it comes behind the 4.8 in a heavy truck, I think it should be ok In a car.
These 3 240sx all have S10 nv3500 setups.
The first guy is a Formula Drift competitor and his tranny has lasted a whole season so far!
