Gotta be dedicated to a daily. Hell today I put a new battery in there... but the bearings are noisy on my new alt... so maybe warranty? Or maybe find bearings if it isn’t covered.

It snowed the other night too, so I had to get some snow pics

But I did find some awesome non retractable shoulder belts in a 73 620. I had a set before and I loved them, so I had to have theses. Freshened them up a bit and installing as soon as I can

Well my car had some more fun in the snow. The screw holding my hei backed out and lost ground on the back... then this shorted my coil out. It started up for a few min and died after I pulled out of my space. By the time I got it fixed there was 2” more snow. But in the process of figuring out the problem I talked to NISMO dr and him and eagle Adam immediately came to the rescue. They convinced me to leave it at work and not risk my car. They drove me home and the b stayed safe and sound till the snow was gone. I drove one of my other cars till I got it home. But I gotta say, I’m glad for my friends and very lucky

Today I was able to go out and do a little work to the B. I put in a new blaster 2 and an alstar performance hei. I added another screw to mount the hei and cleaned the metal underneath for a better connection. Then I pulled out the blue retractable seat belts I installed last year and replaced them with the non retractable ones I found the other day. All in all I’m really happy with everything

Love those belts. Did you remember the dielectric grease under the module?

Thanks dude, this is the second set I’ve had and I love them.
Yep, it’s all greased up and mounted. I didn’t have it on there good enough before, a shorted coil is an expensive lesson tho lol

Finally figured out the perfect rear hatch seal! I got one out of a Kia Optima and it fits absolutely perfectly. Doesn’t need cut and looks factory

So I’ve been working 12 hour day for 3 months straight and after a couple weeks back to normal... I am on “stand down” basically laid off till August. Which is very good news for the Datsun. I have a shelving unit of parts I haven’t had the time to install and a hole in the floor needing a new panel. I hope to have some major progress for canby. I may make you all wait to see in person... but I’m not good at secrets, so we’ll see lol

Haha I’ll post as I go. I haven’t done allot yet, but I did install a correct ignition and interior light... I also do a little something to the front. The bumper!! I had to polish it up a little and do some fitting. Overall I’m really happy and looking forward to getting more done. But for now eye candy.
