Yea but for only twice the money he can have an adjustable one... For now, and when he does the discs

Re: Adam's annoying ass green 620
And when he puts discs on the back-he won't even need it.
I see where you're going.
I used to keep these in my box to fix that exact problem on lots of cars.
Albeit they were not Wilwoods but they do the job.
I think Russell makes them too. For half the price even.
Just trying to save extra work from plumbing in a PV and be functional at the same time.

Re: Adam's annoying ass green 620
Why is it extra work, same two ports as his current union. And how does a disc drum MC work with a disc/disc setup?

Re: Adam's annoying ass green 620
I don't understand your question.Laecaon wrote:And how does a disc drum MC work with a disc/disc setup?
If drums are adjusted tight-no big problem. You won't notice because shoes are already extended as the fronts are already stopping the car.
Drums need to hold pressure/more fluid in the cylinder to actuate them.
Most disc/drom MCs have a PV that delivers more fluid pressure to the drums to make this happen. Drums being help together by springs obviously take more effort to move than a caliper that is only being closed by fluid pressure.
Calipers do not float all the way into the piston when pressure is released, so less initial pressure is needed to operate.
So on a disc/disc MC-you push pedal-fronts get fed first then rears. Not a huge lapse in time, obviously but they do.
I know you know all this though. And I don't know if I answered your question.

Re: Adam's annoying ass green 620
to be honest guys.................
im not putting in a proportioning valve
ive driven the truck for a few days and bled the system one more time. Everything is up to par!
AFTER i do the rear disc swap i will assess if the braking system needs anything else. For now its fine

Didn't someone post a pic of a tool for that?
When the only tool you have is a hammer every problem starts to look like a hippy.

^^ This. I dropped one in a Z24, and an L20 once. I must have bought the wrong nissan tool. I swear mine was shorter than what you have Adam. I threw mine away, it pissed me off. I made a piece of wood with a rope on it. Works great!
Have changed 4-5 head gaskets and never had the chain move in the slightest.
