Harbor Freight Bench Top Sandblaster Cabinet - Useful mods

I started typing a long howto/review of this cabinet.. But I was auto logged out when I went to post... sooooooo... here is the short version with mostly pictures.

Added shakers to the bottom of the hopper to help return sand to the bottom.

The idea is that I'll have an on/off switch for both LED's inside the cabinet (coming soon) and control of the shaker motors. So, to do that I mounted the switches in the face plate:






I was planning on mounting the electrical enclosure on the outside of the cabinet. But there is room under the cabinet so I mounted it inside the cabinet.









Obviously, no LED's in the cabinet yet. I'll get there. Also I'll get pictures of the motors mounted to the hopper at some point.

What I did with my home made sand blaster cabinet to protect the glass was to put several layers of cling wrap onto the inside of the glass, when it got so bad I could hardly see anymore I just pealed off one layer and I was good to go again.
The glass has to be perfectly clean when putting the cling wrap on, otherwise it will not stick.
Keep in mind that my glass was only a foot square, I had expanding metal screen half way down, and the bottom of the cabinet was a funnel leading back to the 5 gallon bucket, it wasn't perfect, but it was good enough for me back then when I had no money, I made the 200lbs of sand last for years.
