1971 Datsun 521 L16 4 speed $2500.00 ORO
1971 Datsun 521 with L16, stock carb, 4 speed, bench seat. Lowered in back with 3" blocks, front was re-indexed 1 spline. Pathfinder 15" chrome wheels, original patina paint, solid floors, solid rockers, Alternator is starting to make noise, new upper A arm bushings, all other bushings look good, gauges / radio work, made new doors cards - I still need to finish up and install. Was averaging 25 mpg in town, out on the high-way is unknown, always drove it in town. The Datsun has never been in an accident. More pic's are a coming.
A few details I'm finishing on. I'm installing the door panels, adjusting the brakes ( been 3 yr since last time) and it should be ready for the 4 sale market.

Great looking little truck.
Let's hope this one sells faster than your last one.

Thanks guys, it's a fun truck and I love the thumbs up & looks it gets. It was a hard decision to make to sell. Hope the next owner takes good care of it.

Looks to be well worth the asking price. Interior pics when the doors are done?

will do Jess. It's been so hot the glue would dry before it hit the panel. Suppose to be cooler for a few day, I better get on it.

Re: 1971 Datsun 521 L16 4 speed $2500.00 ORO
A few years back I made new door panel cards from an house interior door. The veneer was the same thickness as the stock paper ones. Just pulled these out today. As you can see the glue didn't hold very well. Need to use much more glue. I'll post a pic once they are done and installed.

I had a guy talk to me about this truck, he wants a 521, but he lives back east in New York.

Well at first he was worried about you not wanting to deal with someone that far away, then he started to worry about condition, I told him that we all knew you and that your photos were decent enough to get a very good idea of the condition compared to the photos of the other trucks he was looking at back east, the one in Seattle, and the black one with flames and no engine, I have not heard from him in a week now, he was going to look at the one with shitty photos in Maryland I think, and I also suggested he PM/talk to Fisch like he did me.
He did want a driver, I will send him a message to see if he bought the one back east.

There is a kid at my work that harasses me daily about selling my truck.
If you had an offer come through tomorrow from said person would you consider putting it back on the market?

Re: 1971 Datsun 521 L16 4 speed $2500.00 ORO
hmmmmmm, if so said person has an offer, I'd be willing to hear it ( pm the offer) but no guarantees I'D still sell it. The guy in NY didn't try to low ball me so if it's lower then $2500.00, no need to make an offer. Kflatcat19 wrote:There is a kid at my work that harasses me daily about selling my truck.

Re: 1971 Datsun 521 L16 4 speed $2500.00 ORO
just a up date, 521 is NOT 4 sale.
Had a person from NY interested but once we realized the 521 would be missed, we decided to keep it since the 521 is in very good condition for it's age.
Besides that, I love it when peeps say nice truck or I used to have a Datsun. Like listening to their Datsun story.
and why are my PB pic's still working, their not on RaTsIn.
