Greenvanner?...
Well, I have been laid up for years, I havnt done more than grocery shopping/and doctor appointments in a long long time. I can't drive a manual transmission any more. I can't sit in a tiny car anymore.
So I started looking for something I could drive, I am also unable to work... let's not get into that, as it's a sore subject.
So... I started sitting in people's trucks, and vans, I found that I needed a swb chevy van for sure, or a mid 90's dodge. They both had a great possition that I felt like I could drive for a while in. Or move around.
After about a year of looking, missing a few because of health of finances, I found this.

Re: Greenvanner?...
I did get it. 950$. 1976 g20, deluxetc options, original paint. Some one (second owner, 2015) did yank the 400sb and th350, chrome bumpers mirrors and grill.
But the 3rd owner kinda got it put back together.

Re: Greenvanner?...
The ad says it needs work, what does it need?
I had a van like that in the late 1980s, I lived in it a couple years and had a gym membership so I had a place to clean up/take showers, I was on my 3rd winter when I rented a room in a house with two other guys, I bought that house 8 years after that and am still there, 28 years at the same address.

Re: Greenvanner?...
It needs alot of little things, the guy who yanked the 400/350 combo did not care about this van, so he kinda cut shit.
The kids that dropped the 350/th400 in it, just did the best they could I guess.
The electric kick down is not hooked up, the vacuum modulator is bad, the dipstick is homemade and incorrect.
The engine needs a rear main, and valve cover gaskets, rear brakes chatter, and bind on heavy breaking.
Few of the gages are hooked up, and I've got a power drain, but. ..
No rust. None.
And exempt for the few dents the last few owners put in it its in pretty great shape. Considering it's life the past 2 years.

Re: Greenvanner?...
It also has a crack started at the slider latch, some one screwed a plate over it, but I should have it welded up soon.
And they crimped off a mechanical oil pressure line, that opened up today shooting a nice fan of old oil all over the manifold.

Re: Greenvanner?...
That would have to have been so cool, to fly a danger kite all day and then just pullout and crash.

Re: Greenvanner?...
I lived in that van and a Mustang 2 when I could not afford to buy gas for the van for a few years, I had a job, I just few hanggliders so much(3/4 days a week camping) that I just didn't see a reason to rent anything, especially during the summer, food and gas were my big expenses.

Re: Greenvanner?...
I can see the appeal. Portland (Saint Johns specifically) has a pretty decent Van scene. Im glad you got something you can drive and enjoy.
Im sure you will get it working better in no time. And with a 350, parts will be forever cheap.
That green is great too. Not too bad of a deal.
