A12 Flywheel Wanted

#1

Post by Gray »

I need some A12 parts or even a cheap A12 engine (blown-up is fine) for parts. I'm in Sacramento so it ideally should be in the Norcal or maybe Reno area.

My highest priority is an A12 flywheel and flywheel bolts. But I also need the water pump, water pump pulley, fan, fuel pump, various senders, starter??, alternator bracket (I have my old non-IR alt still), and probably some other misc. stuff. If someone has a relatively complete longblock A12 that runs I might be interested in that also. I have a super stripped down A12 longblock that I'm trying to bring back to life.

I also need some other 1200 parts, including manual trans driveline, ashtray, front kickpanels, front bumper brackets, seatbelts, and the little plastic trays that go next to the seats.

So if you have an old A12 you swapped out in the Norcal area that you are looking to get rid of cheap I'd be interested :fyea:

You can get a gear reduction starter for under 40 bucks on rockauto. It's for an a14, but that part of the engine should be the same on an a12. Remy/Pure Energy Part number 16611.

I'm still looking for a flywheel, Ranman hooked me up with most of the other parts. If anyone has an A12 flywheel I'm interested.

Still looking for a A12 flywheel. An A14 flywheel will also work in a pinch IF I can get the 2mm engine-transmission spacer plate [would probably be pretty expensive to ship though].

Call Vern or Randy at Engine Rebuilders Supply @ 503-661-5614

I was in the automotive core industry for almost 20 years. I've sold him countless motors of all flavors.

Vern may or may not have that flywheel that you're looking for, but he may have a way to get one if he's not got one.

He closes at 5 pm (Pacific) M-F and is located in Troutdale Oregon. Tell him Mike, the former core guy, sent you.
There comes a time when reliving your youth, requires the acquisition of a Datsun, like the one you drove in high school and the other one when you were just done with college. The issue then becomes. . . Fitting again, behind the wheel!
