Need a L20b truck oil pan...

#1

Post by Converted_to_datsun »

So I need a new oil pan, mine has been living the low life too long haha. It's leaving g puddles but it'll do till I can find one. I'm looking for one in the Portland area and I can pick it up. Any one have one laying around? Hell I'd even take someone else's holy one and weld it up to swap on if it was cheap

Make a skid pan for it. If 'bumps' are bottoming it out it will just keep doing so.

I'm not low enough for it to be a problem right now, one of the previous owners had flipped leafs and completely slammed front. Then my truck took off down hill even tho it was in gear with the wheels chocked, that's when the oil pan took it's worst hit cause the truck was off road lol might do a skip pad tho just cause I can. I can possibly even get it powder oated for cheap too

It's a skid pan. Just make out of 1/4" aluminum and bolt it on.

Oh that would work well then haha. See what he wants for one and we'll figure out a way to meet up from there. I'm not leaking super bad so it's not a huge rush

It's not that I have a problem with pulling parts myself. It's last time I was looking for parts at pick and pull I drove to north Portland, south Portland, and Sherwood and none of the parts I was after were worth pulling. Basically wasted an entire day on nothing lol an oil pan ain't worth another wasted day if I can pick one up I know for sure is worth it

I'll let you know for sure Izzo

Yep I know komi lol usually I'll pull my own parts. But I'm more focused on finishing body and paint than running around to junk yards right now.
