It's been a little break from the car itself, just sorting at parts im sourcing off the 620. Its consuming my garage, But it should be well better off Monday after a scrap run... But I've gotten the Penultimate in the works now. Kelvin said give it a couple weeks though :) I did come across this rather nice steering wheel. I love the emblem on it.Image

hard to do a test out of the car. Numbers should be a bit higher, tho.

I wouldn't put too much stock in those numbers. Put a little oil in each one and check it tomorrow.

Leak down check would be better for an engine not in the car.

I agree, that was after I dropped some oil in each. I don't have a leak down tester. Went out searching but no luck. But it does give me an idea on blown hg and such :D

Once I hear it warmed up and running, then we'll do the real compression test. I see no reason to tear it apart and rebuild it. fine with me! haha

Borrow mine then. It's a cheap HF.. but works.

My guess is with numbers that low on all cylinders, it's not a blown HG. I'd suspect timing or valve issues.

It's eAsy enough to do a hg once it's in the car. Swap motor and do a real compression test and go from there.

Worst case scenario you have worn out rings. In which case that's also not that hard to do in vehicle. Atleast now you know you have compression. I say continue on.

Thats the plan. Doing some deep cleaning on it. Noticed the whole front timing cover has grey RTV for the gasket. So I may pull some and redo it. Not that i'm against it, just would rather have fresh gaskets.

I'd regasket the whole thing. Just buy the a felt-pro kit and go to town. If you need a headgasket.. then you would already have it.

So as I wait for my suspension parts to arrive, i've been working on sealing the body and what the appearance may be. I have always been a sucker for wood grain paneling. My dad is a cabinetmaker, maybe that has something to do with it? So with this project I have been thinking about which grain and wood to use.

Creating strips to simulate a "miniature Hardwood floor".

This is cherry, its okay.. But with a good stain/ clear coat it could be righteous. I'm trying to keep it as light as I can. Here's a mock-up of what i'm thinking.

We'll see where this goes. I think i'm going to use an angled matte cutter so I can place them super snugly, Like so.
