I think for Datsun engine blocks the good old Chrysler engine blue is very close.
For Datsun air cleaners and stuff - the old Pointiac engine (light) blue is good.

I painted the block on my old 620 with Pontiac blue, just because I liked the way it looks ...

... here you can compare it to an air cleaner, it's a pretty close match.
However, I think the paper towels might be a closer match.

I've always felt those were the closest to OG Datsun colors too.

Ok, thats what I got. But I dont want 3 shades of blue on my engine (the valve cover is obviusly darker blue or is now) so ill decide on pontiac or chrystler blue and do the whole thing the same.
And sooner than later, had catastrophic engine failure, it was shaking bad enough my strong ass magnets fell off the oil pan.
Anyone wanna come document my a14/63a drive train swap? Ive done it a dozen times and allways start forgeting pics pretty quick.

Tinkering right now actualy, might take the long road,
Pulled out the a14 from the "lower slower coupe" kept it because... well new head mostly. Ill scub and paint it this time.

I think whoever did the manual swap left the auto flexplate spacer on.... seems to be a hefty gap between the motor and flywheel, will examine that.
63a is pretty clean, but soakin it anyways. Getting ready to weld up the sensor holes
