Re: the mine now coupe.
So I bent up my clutxhline... really start to have high anxiety any time I double flare something, so I took the scenic route so it would have both flared ends intacted lol
On many datsuns this is bolted on and I can just move it. But not a 1200 they weld that shits on, so I made another one, would have been a million times easyier to screw it on before I dropped the motor in..
Also found a box full of centercaps for 20$, win!
Just sandblasted and painted a bunch of stuff, waiting fot it to dry, and assemble.

Re: the mine now coupe.
Axles are in, brakes are in, ebrake fixed, cutch line installed, drums... drying, if I had an exaust flange I could make it to the gut tomarow. But alas, I dont.
Gotta install my valve cover, bleed the brakes, and re wrapp my altenator harness.
Engine needs oil, rad needs coolent. And its dont. Oh yeah trim alittle for the shifter, and install z seats. Then its done.

Re: the mine now coupe.
Holy shit, been fighting it all day, not even to the point of turnin it over, got one brake hangin up bad. Tryin to bleed em solo aint workin even with the vacuum bleeder. Had to remove the radiator 6 fucking times cause im a space case. Down to a few thinhs, again.... , clean the front carb (thing1),
tidy a few connections,
Intsall the good starter,
throw the bad starter away so I dont install it again before I see that the posts are all busted.
Install hood battery and dizzy oring (that is on my bench after I timed the dizzy and bolted it all in,
2 hose clamps,
And figure out this rear passenger drum issue.
Wich will most likely take a sexond person.
Bolt on rear wheels.
Drive.
Didnt cruise the gut today, but might be zippin around tomarow!

Buy 12' - 15' feet of clear tubing from the hardware store and feed it back to the reservoir. That's the only thing I could bleed brakes on the dime with only one person. Worked well.. and cheap. I think I paid $3.

Or into a 2 liter bottle so you dont put old brake fluid back into the circuit... Thats the method I preach though.draker » Sat Jul 19, 2014 10:19 pm wrote:RedBanner » Sat Jul 19, 2014 10:04 pm wrote:Holy shit, been fighting it all day, not even to the point of turnin it over, got one brake hangin up bad.
