
Yes, more photos. You can see there is a electric solenoid on the vacuum switch, which I think was connected to the broken white barb on the throttle diaphragm- so when the key was turned to the off position, the throttle plates closed all the way to prevent the engine from dieseling.

The rusty dash pots in the second photo I put in the first batch of pictures, was to keep the throttle plates from closing to quickly giving the engine time to burn the fuel and keep emissions down??

I don't know if was even imported to the US? probably not. However Adam thank you for pointing out these are not your average SU's for an A14, I am thinking taking the set to Steve at Z Therapy and getting them to assess the avail-ably of parts and if they are rebuildable and of the number of $$'s involved Adam I will pass along what I find out about the needles.
