How to install an early 620 sway bar on a ball joint 620
How to install an early 620 sway bar on a ball joint 620.
Basically not too complicated, the camper version actually came with a sway bar so all of the ball joint 620's already have all the mounting locations. For some reason they were no longer stock, a camper one should be a direct bolt on.
But if you can't find a camper one, a sway bar from an early 620 is almost a direct bolt on. The only real mod needed is a longer sway bar end link you can buy right off the shelf at the auto parts store. I got the longest one they had on stock which was an energy suspension 4 5/8"-5 1/8" which is barely enough to clear the tie rods. I'd actually recommend the 5 1/4"- 5 3/4" just to be safe. After I installed my new sway bar I felt a huge improvement in cornering, it's completely worth the effort.

Ball joint 620's don't have sway bars stock?
That's odd.
When I scrapped the 620 in my yard that is one of the few parts I kept.

Always thought I could find a way to use it somewhere.
I hope I still have it. Made a scrap run a few weeks ago.
Yikes.

My Datsuns, like good friends, have never let me down. At least in any way that was not understandable and thus fixable.

Pretty much what I've found from a little research. I tried the original bolts for the sway bar ends and it hit the tie rods horribly. I was able to find longer ones on the shelf at the auto parts store that worked perfectly. They were right there in the isle by aftermarket tacks and stuff. I also got polyurethane bushings which probably helps as well.
