I'm 10 years in and just fired the engine for the first time this week. You're doing just fine.

How do the hose locations and sizes compare to the stock radiator? Specific application?

Re: Lifting a B310
That thing is seriously lifted. What all did you end up doing? Someone had spacers in the springs on my wives b210 on the front, then longer shackles on the back. It's important to note a 1200 is fairly tall stock. Taller than almost any other Datsun. Front is sort of a 2" body lift. We used ...

FWIW, the 1200 carb with the 210 jets in it is a great carb for an A14/A15.Jamee wrote:It's official, the Hitachi is being rebuilt.
A lot simpler than the 210 carb and almost indestructible.

They did not. All were A12, A14, or A15.wayno wrote:I heard that some 210s had L20b engines, so that is why I mentioned I had one, didn't know what engine you had.
Pretty easy to put one in though...

Aren't those a little big for an A? The factory only used them on the 2.0L and 2.4L.
Heard 510 guys say they work well on an L20b, but not anything smaller...

I know exactly how you feel...I've been working on this thing for 3 years now, I'm kind of at the point I just want to drive it.
Any concerns about fuel/air having to flow uphill? I guess if it works on a Model T it'll work here...

how much, and from where? ... is it a tube bender or a pipe bender? It's a tubing bender, from Speedway, 1.75" mandrel, $399 shipped. It has pretty good reviews, and you can order it with almost any size pipe mandrel you need. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/3rd-Gen-Hydraulic-Round-Tubing-Bender-and ...
